Field trip “MOMIJIGARI” - Japanese Language School Kyoto Asuka Academia

2024/12/6 First graders and teachers went to Daigoji Temple’s Sanboin Temple to see the autumn leaves. It was a little cold, but it was a beautiful place.

　

There was lots of autumn leaves and the weather was lovely, so the students took lots of photos.

Daigoji Sanboin was a spacious and quiet place. There were many visitors inside Daigoji. We felt good while walking and looking at the autumn leaves.

As the clear morning light filtered through the trees, along with the occasional sound of the wind blowing, it felt as if time was slowing down.

As we walk around the main hall and gardens of Daigoji Temple, we were filled with a deep sense of respect that is difficult to put into words as we contemplate the vestiges of religious practices of people past and the cultural assets that have been preserved for generations.

The deep spirituality and natural beauty we felt at Daigoji Temple will be a lifelong treasure for us. It was interesting and fun to go to Sanboin Temple in Daigoji Temple to see the autumn leaves.
