Sorry for the late update, but January 5th was the first day of school in the new year.
For our annual first shrine visit of the year, we visited a shrine near our school.
What did the students pray for?
It is a Japanese custom to visit a shrine at the beginning of the year.
The school has various plans throughout the year for students to experience Japanese culture and more.
Then on February 2nd, we held a Setsubun event, a day early.
While we were having class, the red and blue demons suddenly came running in.

The students shouted “Oni soto, fuku uchi!” and threw beans at the demons to drive them away.
Students from the morning class also participated in the afternoon class as demons.

Thanks to the students, we were able to ward off evil spirits.
We are very late in sending our New Year’s greetings, but we hope you will continue to support us this year.
We hope we all stay healthy and happy.
